Hi! My name is Annabelle and I am currently a Junior in high school. For my first post, I wanted to tell you a little about this blog. In the Athlete’s Appetite, we will focus on maintaining excellent nutrition while reaching a sports, life balance. I will also delve into developing goals that work for you and mindsets that will help you reach those goals. I hope you all join me on my journey!

I started swim lessons when I was six months old, and I instantly fell in love with the water. By the age of 4, I had joined my first summer swim team. At age 8, I started swimming year round and competitively. During the Covid-19 pandemic, I quit. But I just missed the team family, the water, and the competition too much. I decided to come back in April of 2021. I believe that giving myself this break allowed me to not burn out in the years to come as I have watched many decide that their sport was just too much work. In March of 2024 I qualified for the Future’s Championships in Richmond, VA. I have worked very hard to get here and I know that my journey is not even close to over. That is why I want to document it! Over the years, this blog may expand to wider categories, but right now I want to focus on the following subjects that have been very important to my success:
- First and most importantly, nutrition. I will be posting weekly diverse recipes that have helped me be strong enough to succeed.
- Second, I will post about ways to find a healthy sports, life balance.
- Third, I will teach you how to masterfully set your goals so that you will succeed no matter what.
- Lastly, I will help you reach a positive mindset that will foster your growth as an athlete.
Thank you for deciding to follow me on this journey! I hope that by sharing my success, I will be able to help you reach every goal you have set for yourself.
“Excellence is the result of caring more than others think is wise, risking more than others think is safe, dreaming more than others think is practical, and expecting more than others think is possible.” ~Ronnie Oldham
See you all next time!
